October: photographs of the month

During October we received an amazing 670 records from 137 recorders. There have been some great photos along with your records this month – here are a few of our favourites. Again we have loved looking at the photos that have been submitted.

Your records in October:
- This month we received the earliest recording of hazel first flowering since our dataset began in 2000! This was observed on the 27 October.
- We had 26 records for bare ash trees the earliest of which was seen on the 12 October.
- During October the average fruit score for holly was 3.2 a moderate crop.
